WAVES- from the Child Task Force
By Daniela Lempertz
Waves …
During the last months we heard this word very often. Countries were in the 1st or 2nd or some already in the 3rd wave of the corona pandemic.
But there are also other waves … I remember vacations at the sea where many different waves could be observed.
Small waves that just skirted your feet during a walk on the beach.
Bigger waves that invited you to jump over the crest of the wave.
Big waves that always presented you with a decision: better to dive underneath or try to jump all the way up?
All waves could be mastered with fun, courage and also satisfaction if someone was there to hold your hand.
Either to dive down together or to jump over it together….
Even in the times of the waves of the corona pandemic, it is helpful and supportive to be held and to overcome the challenges together. Holding can mean staying in touch with familiar people, talking on the phone, going for walks together.
Thinking and looking together: what is possible instead of what is not?
P.S. Every wave has a beginning and also an end …
